The room in the picture above represents vertical lines. There are vertical lines everywhere from the walls to the table to the dresser in the back. To be honest there's not all that many vertical lines in this room but the wall gives it the feeling of tall and a smaller space.

This olioboard room is a great example of horizontal lines. The rug goes in a horizontal direction, the bricks, and the shelves both show vertical lines also. This room gives a more spacious, casual conversation feel.

This room is a nice illustration of diagonal lines and I think the first diagonal thing you notice is the design on the headboard. When you look closer there's more on the chair and the dresser giving it the feeling of elegance.

This room for obvious reasons shows tons of curved lines. Almost every single line in this room is curved including even the furniture that would normally be a solid line. I think that not only because of the color but because of the curved lines it makes the room look more energized.
